The challenge:
A telecommunications company had been going through a period of change for 18+ months. Leaders were tired, fatigued and were on point to lead and execute the change whilst experiencing a lot of uncertainty themselves.
The solution:
Leadership development workshops were created for Technology leaders using elements of appreciative enquiry and positive psychology. Leaders were asked to reflect on where they were in the present moment, what they had achieved and the hurdles they had already overcome. They were then invited to imagine stepping into a time machine and visualise the future of the organisation, 1 year ahead. This included a heart and head centred approach to visualising the future organisation and they discussed what they would hear, think, feel and do 1 year ahead in the new world. They then agreed commitments they would make in the present day to help realise the transformation, recognise and engage teams.
The result:
The change leadership capability was advanced for 50+ Technology leaders within 4 months. Wellbeing and engagement was increased as a result of the investment in leadership development.
Client Feedback:
"Elizabeth delivered the programme to a battle weary Leadership Team in the midst of a far reaching technology and business transformation. Elizabeth admirably took a cynical group of leaders through a very creative appreciative enquiry process that reminded the team of why the transformation was important. It helped them reconnect with the business transformation programme and their role within it. They adopted a more positive mindset which was evident in the increased interactions and communications with their teams."
